Wafer Art Mask Viewer - Help

What is this?
This tool lets you preview how a mask image would look as an SiO2 thin film on a silicon wafer, simulating real-world optical effects.

• Choose File (JPG/PNG) to use as a mask. The black areas are masked and will retain the SiO2 coating, white is clear/unmasked (silver)*
• Scale the image to fit the wafer using the slider or number box.
• Invert Mask to swap masked/unmasked regions.
• Adjust SiO₂ Thickness to see color changes due to thin-film interference.
• Auto-Rotate can be toggled for easier viewing.
• Export Image saves a PNG of the current view.
• Use the mini axes in the bottom right corner to orient yourself.

* This behavior matches a positive photoresist, like the AZ1518 used in our program, where exposed (clear/white) regions are removed during development, leaving the unexposed (black) areas protected. If using a negative photoresist, the masking is inverted: exposed regions remain and unexposed areas are removed.
